Coaching
Working with Belinda has had a major impact on my role as Headteacher. She has developed my confidence as well as my ability to reflect and adapt my leadership style to meet the needs of my team. She is warm, intuitive and open, consistently asking questions with empathy and reassurance. She is an oustanding coach and role model to any leader.

Consulting
Our organisation focuses on supporting families directly affected by childhood cancer and can therefore often have a personal as well as professional impact on our staff and volunteers, some of whom have also had personal experience of childhood cancer – ensuring that we appropriately care for our team and are mindful of their well-being is therefore paramount to us. I asked Belinda to support us with a piece of work that focussed on this. I knew from previous work with Belinda that she would be uniquely placed to understand and navigate through the sensitive nuances of our work with compassion, empathy and a strength of experience that would mean she’d quickly earn respect and confidence of the team. The work Belinda completed was hugely valued, both by myself and the individuals involved from the team.

Belinda's ability to bring awareness, empowerment and understanding to any situation, while supporting the individual or system is powerful, allowing everyone involved to feel supported, seen and heard. She brings years of training, research and dedication to every aspect of the field, whether consulting, coaching or supervising. Her expertise would benefit any individual or organization, and enable them to move forward with greater awareness of themselves and how they are impacting the totality of the situation. She supports and enables individual and organizational curiosity, connectedness and courage to explore new ways of being and working together.

Groupwork: Leading - Following- Partnering
I worked with Belinda at a School/College in the East Midlands in the early 1980s. At that time race awareness training was in its infancy. Belinda was fearless in constructing a fully experiential set of whole staff training events. At that time this was received with a hefty amount of cynicism from some staff, welcomed by many others and understandable suspicion by some of those staff of colour who had bad experiences in the past. Belinda was always very compassionate and sought out positive ways forward for us all. Her work made a profound impact and shift in the culture and dialogue in the institution. Given that the vast majority of pupils were from Asian and African Caribbean backgrounds this had a very positive impact on their experiences also. She taught me a great deal about myself, training and approaches to others and I am still on that learning journey.

Supervision
Supervision with Belinda is a rich, insightful and engaging experience. I value her cultural awareness and sensitivity; this permits me to bring the whole of ‘me‘ to our interactions.
